International artist & musician Jimmy Cauty heads to The Florrie
7 years ago

Acclaimed international artist and musician, Jimmy Cauty, returns to Liverpool after 25 years with his thought-provoking Aftermath Dislocation Principle (ADP) Riot Village installation.
Following a critically-acclaimed appearance at Banksy’s Dismaland, Cauty’s ADP Riot Village Tour will exhibit at The Florrie in Liverpool 8 from 8th-14th July 2016.
ADP Riot Village explores the concepts of freedom and state control in a post-riot urban landscape. Cauty invites you to witness the aftermath of an uprising, depicted though a fascinating miniature model village encased within 40ft steel shipping container.
There’s also a fantastic programme of community activities and projects to get involved with including ‘A Model Community’ and ‘A History in 35 Objects’.
Launch night happens on Friday 8th July and will be hosted by BBC Radio 2’s Janice Long.
We met The Florrie’s Timo Tierney of Tea Street Band and Anne Lundon at the Royal Court last week to find out more, watch the chat above.
