March is Oscar’s month, so celebrate by treating yourself to a month of unique screenings and something special in the cinema.
As the awards take place, the contenders begin leaving our cinemas, so make sure you’ve ticked them all off your list, and then continue into what is another show stealing month for film on Merseyside.
Farm Yard Flicks, Claremont Farm – 3rd/4th March
To kick things off this month we head over the water, to Birkenhead, for this exciting new season of screenings, hosted by Claremont Farm who have teamed up with Empty Spaces Cinema, Snips, Live for Films and The Bonsai Hi-Fi Sound System. The 3rd March sees an afternoon, family screening of Disney classic, The Lion King, followed by an 18+ screening of the John Carpenter’s Creature Feature, The Thing. Sunday 4th March sees the final screening of the weekend as we are treated to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 Crime-Thriller, Dail M For Murder. These are sure to be something special with a bar and snacks available on sight. Choose the flick for you here and help make sure there are plenty more of these to come.
