The former Liverpool defender will mark the opening alongside owner Kate Stewart and Director of Business Development John Connolly, ahead of the second leg of Liverpool FC’s Champion’s League semi-final against FC Barcelona.
The 115-bed hotel is an extension of popular Anfield pub The Sandon and will become the most in-demand football related hotel just a stones’ throw away from Liverpool Football Club.
The Sandon will continue to work with LFC as an official partner to deliver outstanding hospitality.
Owner Kate Stewart took over the pub back in 2017 and invested £100,000 in refurbishment, improving the suites for LFC hospitality events and private parties and functions.
The Sandon was originally built by John Houldings in 1870 as an outlet for selling beers from his brewery.
It was the birthplace of both Liverpool and Everton FC, and under Kate’s stewardship became an official hospitality partner of LFC.
Owner Kate Stewart has invested £1 million into its extension, creating a place for those visiting to stay and offering them a convenient and comfortable hotel that is packed with signed memorabilia.
