Jazz Saturdays return to Ma Boyle’s in Liverpool for 2025
3 hours ago
Jazz lovers get ready as Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery is bringing the magic back for 2025 with the return of Jazz Saturdays, kicking off on Saturday, 18 January.
As Liverpool’s longest-running weekly jazz night, Jazz Saturdays are a must for anyone who loves live music in an intimate, historic setting.
Proudly working alongside Parrjazz to curate the shows, this brand-new run is particularly special with a true legend returning: the American icon Sid Jacobs joins the UK’s Tom Remon on Saturday, 22 February, for a wonderful double act. Further guests include The Parrjazz House Bandits, Dean Masser, Cuba Vida Salsa Band, Ray Butcher and The Perri Alleyne-Hughes Ensemble.
Ma Boyle’s founder Iain Hoskins said:
“We’re all set for the brand-new season of Jazz Saturdays to kick-start 2025 into action. As always, there’s some wonderful artists joining us and sound-tracking each evening.
“Jazz suits Ma’s so well and we’re immensely proud to be part of Liverpool’s longest running jazz weekly and showcasing so many brilliant performers in our intimate venue.
“I’d advise to book a table as we’re always very busy.”
Tucked away off Water Street and nestled by the beautiful St Nick’s church gardens, Ma Boyle’s has seen the city change all around it whilst staying true to its historic maritime roots.
It caters for breakfast brunchers and liquid lunchers to brilliant bistro food, with a wonderful range of drinks and irresistible cocktails and is a fabulous hideaway from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Last January, the team celebrated 50 years since Ma Boyle’s first relocated to its current home in the Tower Building, once famous for its oysters; Ma’s really is a Liverpool institution and part of this ongoing story is Jazz Saturdays and the opening run of dates for 2025.
All Jazz Saturdays are completely free and start at 8pm.
