Jollibee is looking to pay people to taste test its fried chicken

Jollibee, the famous fast-food brand founded in the Philippines and now quickly growing in the UK, launches its #JollibeeTasteTester competition on TikTok.


The brand is on a quest to find four fried chicken taste testers to join the team for one evening of sampling their delicious crispy fried chicken menu.

The winners will be invited to come down to the brand’s stunning flagship London restaurant at 22 Leicester Square and will also be paid a whopping £1000 cash prize each.

This is the dream experience for anyone who loves fried chicken and winners will even be able to share this unique occasion with a friend. The lucky four will get to taste some of the brand’s latest menu items, including the Spicy Chicken Burger and Sriracha Chicken Loaded Fries.

Entrants are required to post a video on TikTok to apply.

Ashlee Campbell, Head of Marketing for Jollibee Europe said:

“TikTok has become a digital destination to discover new food options and try new recipes, so we know there is an audience passionate about food on the platform. When we started talking about finding fried chicken lovers to taste and give us feedback on our menu, choosing TikTok felt like the natural choice.

“We get tagged daily in all kinds of deliciously creative videos so we’re confident it’s the right place! I am excited that this is the first time we know of a brand looking for menu taste testers on TikTok. I can’t wait to see the entries rolling in and meeting our four winners.”

Fried chicken fans will need to follow @JollibeeUK on TikTok, create and publish a TikTok video demonstrating why they should be a Jollibee Fried Chicken Taste Tester in less than 30 seconds and be sure to use the hashtag #JollibeeTasteTester. The deadline to apply is Sunday 18th July at 23:59.

Applications will then be judged by a panel composed of Adam Parkinson, the Business Head of Jollibee Europe, gaming content creator, Callum Knight and lifestyle YouTuber, Michico Rimmer. Both Callum and Michico will be at the taste testing session to meet the winners.

Michico Rimmer commented:

“For me, Jollibee was such a big part of my childhood growing up in Dubai and seeing the brand expanding in the UK is amazing. The chicken is out of this world, so to be a judge for this is really a dream come true. I can’t wait to meet the winners at the taste testing session and for them to experience the wonders of Jollibee.”

The three judges will make a shortlist of 10 applicants, which will be announced on the Jollibee UK website on Monday 26th July and open to public voting.

The four entries with the most public votes will win the incredible ÂŁ1000 cash prize and an evening taste testing session with a friend at Jollibee in Leicester Square, London on Tuesday 17th August.
