Karisimbi rum teams up with Spanish Caravan for summer solstice beach party in Liverpool

Karisimbi rum is kicking off summer in style with a beach party that brings beats, street food and a serious mission to one of Liverpool’s coolest venues.

The gorilla-saving rum brand, Karisimbi rum has partnered with Slater Street favourite Spanish Caravan for Wavey Riddimz — a live music and DJ event taking place on Friday 21 June from 2pm to 8.30pm, turning the venue’s terrace into a beach right in the heart of the city.

The event is powered by underground music collectives Savage PNP, Nex Gen and Raise the Bar, and promises a packed line-up of emerging talent from Liverpool, Bristol and Manchester. Expect rap, hip hop, R&B and afrobeats sets from artists including Copdat, P3LZ, Ali T, Kingxton, Millie Whitestone, Leetz, Conduit, JRCH44 and Hazel. DJs Gaskin, Tox6ix Scorpio and Diligent Fingers will be behind the decks, with live ciphers running throughout the day to get everyone involved.

Alongside the music, there’ll be exclusive Karisimbi cocktails on offer and a Caribbean-inspired street food menu curated by Liverpool food legends Raggas.

If that wasn’t enough, the party also supports a good cause — with 10% of all Karisimbi bottle profits going to gorilla conservation, and additional fundraising taking place on the day for the Gorilla Organisation.
