Kids go free with Stena Line this summer – helping families save on their Irish Sea adventures
14 hours ago

If you’re planning a family getaway this summer but trying to keep an eye on costs, Stena Line has just made things a little easier.
The ferry operator – the biggest on the Irish Sea – Stena Line has launched a new Kids Go Free offer to help families save on travel and enjoy a break without the financial stress. With routes across the Irish Sea, you can pack up the car, bring the kids and even the dog, and head off for less.
The deal is available on all Economy and Flexi motorist fares for children aged 4 to 15, and it’s valid until January 5, 2026 – as long as you book before August 31. Prices start from £149/€175 for a car and one adult, with kids travelling free.
Recent research from Legal & General found that the cost of travel is the number one worry for families this year, with nearly half saying they’re focused on saving money due to the rising cost of living. Stena Line’s offer aims to ease that pressure and make travel more affordable.

It’s not just about the savings though – there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained onboard. Young passengers can enjoy Happy World play areas, games zones, free movie lounges and an interactive POD lounge on the Cairnryan to Belfast route.
And for the grown-ups, there’s the Taste restaurant, onboard bars, shops, and even a Pure Nordic Spa on selected routes for a proper moment of relaxation. Plus, Stena Line’s pet-friendly travel options mean your furry friends can join the adventure too.
If you’re crossing from Holyhead to Dublin or Fishguard to Rosslare, you can also take advantage of duty-free savings on everything from alcohol and fragrances to chocolate and gifts.
