LEAF on Smithdown Road is celebrating 5 years of service with a series of events

This September, LEAF on Smithdown Road is turning 5 and the team are going to celebrate with lots of fun events, activities and plentiful feasting and drinking.

The festivities at LEAF will run from Monday 23^rd September and culminate in the big 5^th birthday party on Friday 27^th September – and everyone’s welcome.

The area’s creative and culinary heart is one of the essential destinations in the southern suburbs of the city, offering everything from world-class Sunday roasts and delicious Pudding Clubs, to weekly quizzes, DJs, kids’ Lego Clubs, special events and more.

LEAF Smithdown Road is all about community and coming together, and for their 5^th birthday there’s plenty to celebrate across the last week of the month, including the party for all on Friday 27^th September with complimentary welcome drinks and canapes, special tea samples and more.

Natalie Haywood, LEAF’s founder, says:

“We’re incredibly proud of LEAF Smithdown Road and how it’s evolved over the years. It’s a beautiful space and right in the centre of where Allerton meets Wavertree, so the wonderfully diverse area is reflected in our customers. LEAF Smithdown is a laid-back affair – we help get the day started with our hearty breakfasts, people come to catch up over lunch or watch the world go by, or get their evening going with some drinks. Or they while away a Sunday afternoon over our roasts and read the papers. We’re focused on always being family friendly too and love to champion and celebrate the community around us, so turning 5 feels like a great achievement for us and everyone who supports us. We’re celebrating this with lots of lovely events culminating with our free party on Friday 27^th September.”

Running all week from Monday 23^rd September there will be a big 5^th birthday canvas in the venue with lots of space for people to write their favourite memories of LEAF Smithdown; party bags for kids (colouring kits and more) available at Lego Club; and LEAF’s weekly quiz with perhaps a few questions around the number 5.

Activities during the birthday in the daytime on Friday 27^th September include facepainting from 3.30pm; LEAF’s 5^th birthday cake; vouchers for free cups of LEAF’s loose-leaf tea; tea samples including LEAF’s brand-new birthday blend – Cold Remedy Brew. This tea helps relieve the cold symptoms seems we’re heading into the colder months, packed with goodness including Yin Zhen tea leaves, ginger root, lemongrass, peppermint and lemon peel.

Then from 6pm until late, the birthday party will include complimentary welcome drinks; special tea samples; complimentary canapes; spin the wheel with prizes; Ogo’s amazing music plus epic party play lists. Please note that the party is expected to be very busy so please arrive early.
