LFC spreads Christmas magic with video launch for festive season

With the start of the festive season upon us, Liverpool FC is about to share its own Christmas fairy tale with the anticipated release of this year’s iconic Christmas advert.

Continuing with its heart-warming hat trick format the advert will be released in three instalments, each of which tells a separate story in a fairy tale style and reflecting what the club means to its supporters around the world – a celebration of home, togetherness and belief.

The first video, which is available to watch today, focuses on the meaning of ‘home’ and brings to life the incredible atmosphere inside Anfield on a matchday, contrasted with the anticipation and excitement of Christmas.

With plenty of special effects and heart-warming moments throughout, fans are drawn into the pages of a story book as they open, revealing the magic of Anfield and a well-known Liverpool FC face – Virgil Van Dijk. There are also appearances from other first team superstars, like Joe Gomez and Roberto Firmino.

This is a story of fans of all backgrounds, races and religions coming together in the special place they call ‘home’ to support the Reds; a story of belonging and a place where everyone is welcome, at home or on the Kop.

Each Christmas video will be revealed separately over the Christmas period, with the first instalment available to view now at www.liverpoolfc.com/christmas.

To bring the message of home close to supporters in Anfield at Christmas, the club’s Operation Christmas Magic community campaign will take place again this year where Red Neighbours and LFC Foundation will host a number of events and initiatives to bring joy and fun to the local Anfield community and beyond.

The Club has also revealed its official Christmas gifting range with a selection of exclusive presents for every Reds fan.
