Light Before Christmas returns to Liverpool Cathedral with brand new theme
7 seconds ago

Liverpool Cathedral’s much-loved festive spectacular, Light Before Christmas, is back for its fourth year – and this time it comes with a brand-new theme, The Gift.
Running from 28 November to 6 December, the immersive light and sound experience will once again transform one of the city’s most iconic landmarks into a dazzling winter wonderland.
Visitors can expect a completely new series of projection artworks created by the world-renowned Luxmuralis team, exploring the gift of peace, the gift of Christmas and the Cathedral itself as a gift to the city.
Over the years, Light Before Christmas has become a must-do festive tradition for families, with tens of thousands making it part of their seasonal celebrations.

This year promises to be brighter and more magical than ever, offering the chance to pause, reflect and enjoy the beauty of the Cathedral while sharing the moment with loved ones.
The Very Revd Dr Sue Jones, Dean of Liverpool, said:
“For many, the true start of Christmas begins with a visit to the Cathedral and Light Before Christmas, so I am delighted to see it return for its fourth year. Liverpool Cathedral was built by the people, for the people, and this year’s theme is the perfect reflection of that.”
Alongside the show, the Welsford Bistro will be serving a Christmas market-inspired menu, perfect for a cosy treat before or after the light trail.
Tickets are already selling fast, so early booking is recommended.
Light Before Christmas: The Gift runs from Thursday 28 November to Friday 6 December at Liverpool Cathedral.
