Limited edition Royal Liver Building vodka launches in time for Christmas
4 years ago
A new vodka has been released in commemoration of the Royal Liver Building’s famous Great George Liver clocks.
The clock-faced inspired vodka has been commissioned by the operators of the Liver Building tour and visitor attraction, RLB360.
Named “Crowning Moment,” the new vodka celebrates the Great George Liver Clocks which were started at the exact moment of King George V’s coronation on 22nd June 1911 at 1:40pm.
The delicious vodka, which comes  in a collectors edition bottle, is infused with butterscotch and mint flavours and comes with a custom clock face bottle top depicting the time as 1:40pm.
The vodka, like the Royal Liver Building 360 gin range, has been created by Wirral based company, The Handmade Gin Company. The artwork for the bottles, which depicts the world-famous Royal Liver Building clock face,  has been designed by local artists The Jones Boys.
Chris Devaney, operations manager for RLB360, said:
“It is fantastic to celebrate the Great George Liver Clocks and the fact that they were started at the exact time of King George V’s coronation. We’ve been really lucky to maintain our great relationship with local distillery, The Handmade Gin Company as well as The Jones Boys to create a bespoke product that looks as good as it tastes
Like our gin range, we felt it important to highlight local suppliers and talent within the Liverpool City Region, while coupling it with the heritage of the Royal Liver Building, and, of course, the iconic clock-face which celebrates a key moment in british history. The vodka really is history in a bottle and is the perfect Christmas gift for anyone wanting to support independent local businesses.”
Since its opening in April 2019 the Royal Liver Building 360 tour has been inundated with visitors from across the globe. The experience includes a gift shop contrianing various Royal Liver Building gifts.
You can purchase “Crowning Moment” directly from RLB360.
