LIPA Sixth Form College (LSFC) is celebrating great results, with 100% of students passing their Level 3 qualifications. Over 97% achieved high grades, equivalent to three A Levels at grades A*–B.
The results mark another outstanding year for LSFC, home to nearly 400 students pursuing UAL Diploma and Extended Diploma qualifications. Overall, 67% of students achieved the highest possible grade of Distinction, with a further 30% awarded a Merit. This represents a 5 percentage point increase on last year, when 92% achieved a Distinction or Merit.
Students will now progress to some of the UK’s most prestigious performing arts institutions, including Italia Conti, East 15, Rambert, Trinity Laban, Royal Welsh Conservatoire, Rose Bruford, Royal Northern College of Music, Urdang, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and LIPA, among others.
Edward Pinner, current LSFC Assistant Principal who will be succeeding Charles Bartholomew as Principal on 1 September, said:
“We are immensely proud of our students, who have produced remarkable work over the past two years. They have demonstrated creativity, collaboration and excellence in everything they’ve done, and we are thrilled to celebrate their success today. We look forward to seeing them flourish.
These results also testify to the exceptional work of LSFC teachers and all the amazing staff who support our students, whose dedication, passion and expertise have been crucial to our students’ success. As one of only a handful of specialist performing arts colleges in England, we believe strongly in the transformative power of the performing arts, and are proud of the inclusive, creative and inspiring environment that we foster here.”
