Liverpool 2018: The Highlights Video

It is safe to say that we have had one incredible year in Liverpool and our annual highlights video is in, but where do we start and how can we sum up 2018 in just one two minute video?
We welcomed millions of visitors form all over the world, celebrated 10 years since our Capital of Culture win, opened new venues and said goodbye to one Liverpool tickling stick loving legend.
There’s also the small matter of Liverpool’s biggest ever event to date, The Giant Spectacle. Tall Ships sailed down our Mersey, we held more festivals and gigs than ever before and the city’s nightlife scene was booming.

We celebrated 10 years since our Capital of Culture Win
Where do we start, where do we begin…
We loved, we lost and we said goodbye
We had new starts, said hello and reached up high
We opened new venues, our streets were full
We spread scouse love, it was never dull…
2018 was our year here
and millions came to wave and cheer
We built, demolished and built some more
And then they came and what they saw
Was a city of love, of passion of pride
The people came from near, far and wide
