Liverpool Art Fair is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary in style this summer at the iconic Royal Liver Building.
This milestone event promises a spectacular showcase of local talent and creativity, featuring an unprecedented collection of works from over 200 artists.
Opening to the public on Friday, 28 June, and running until Sunday, 18 August, the Liverpool Art Fair will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 12-6pm, with free entry for all visitors.
With art prices starting at just ÂŁ20 and a substantial “under ÂŁ200” section, there is something to suit every budget, with all pieces priced under ÂŁ2000.
The Liverpool Art Fair is an annual event dedicated to showcasing affordable original art from a diverse range of local artists. It provides a unique insight into the region’s creative talent and offers everyone, from seasoned collectors to first-time art buyers, the chance to own a piece of Liverpool’s vibrant art scene.
This year’s artists were selected from an open call, welcoming anyone based within a 35-mile radius of Liverpool to apply.
The selection panel, consisting of Sarah Lovell (Lead Officer for Culture at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority), Faith Bebbington (sculptor), Patrick Kirk-Smith (editor and director of ArtinLiverpool), and Angela Samata (arts professional and broadcaster), had the challenging task of narrowing down nearly 400 applicants to the final 200+ artists.
Throughout the seven weeks of the fair, visitors can enjoy a packed programme of events, including creative workshops in partnership with Cass Art.
There will also be a series of events designed to support artists and creatives in starting and growing their businesses, in collaboration with the Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC).
The Liverpool Art Fair People’s Choice Award is returning, giving visitors the opportunity to vote for their favorite artist until early August. The winner, to be announced on 8th August, will receive a range of prizes, including vouchers from Cass Art, a stay at INNSiDE Liverpool with dinner at Gino’s, tickets to the RLB360 experience, and an Artist Showcase with media partner The Guide Liverpool.
This year’s major partner is Liverpool Hope University, whose support has been integral to the staging of the fair. The Liverpool BID Company has also kindly supported the event through their Arts and Culture Fund. Additional sponsors include CBRE and Evelyn Partners, with special thanks to Relish for sponsoring the opening event.
The Liverpool Art Fair at the Royal Liver Building is a must-visit event for anyone interested in art and local culture.
Whether you’re a seasoned art collector or a first-time buyer, there’s something for everyone at this landmark event celebrating a decade of artistic excellence in Liverpool.
