Liverpool artist Sean Webster has announced that his first solo show, SEROTONIN, will be taking place at The Warehouse, Make North Docks on Sunday 17th October 2021, 5pm-11pm.
Alongside Sean’s artwork this ‘arty party’ will consist of the premiere screening of a new top secret film, live music, and food & drink. 10% of all artwork sales will help provide art equipment to Liverpool secondary schools.
“This solo show is the biggest challenge I have ever given myself and there’s so much work involved to pull it off. I’ve called it SEROTONIN. Serotonin stabilises our happiness. The core of all my artwork is to bring a sense of happiness, so it seemed the perfect name. I feel so excited to know that in just over a month people will be standing in a warehouse, together, surrounded by my artwork. I wanted to give my solo show it’s own spin so at some point in the evening will be the premiere screening of a new top secret film currently in production which I won’t say too much about just yet.
Something I am passionate about is secondary schools encouraging their students to pursue the arts, which unfortunately I don’t think is the case everywhere. Therefore, I have decided to use 10% of all artwork sales at my solo show to purchase and donate quality art equipment to Liverpool secondary schools in the hopes of boosting the encouragement of students pursuing an artistic path.
The artwork at this event will be a mix of past work and unseen new pieces. I am currently working on my largest paintings to date which will fit the space floor to ceiling. We’re talking high impact, wow factor stuffwith this show with the main message flowing across all pieces being happiness. Bringing people together through my artwork has always been a goal of mine and this event is the perfect time to do just that. This solo show is for everyone to come and enjoy, I look forward to seeing you there!’
