Liverpool bar Scruffy Murphys is considering opening the city’s first 23 hour pub.
After opening its doors in the Summer of 2023, Scruffy Murphy’s Irish/American themed bar has proved to be a huge hit with both locals and visitors from outside of the city. Brought to the city by the Harrison’s Bar Group, who also operate Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, Harrisons Bar & Kitchen, Dwntwn and the original Scruffy Murphy on Harrington Street.
Now as we enter a New Year the owners are looking to open 23 hours a day, everyday of the week.
A spokesperson for Harrison’s Bar Group explains:
“ We are currently considering making use of our 23 hour licence, which is in place, This would mean our operating hours for Scruffy Murphy being 6am until 5am daily. An announcement will be made very soon on this via our social media platforms.”
Located in Mathew Street, this is the sister site to the original Scruffy Murphy’s in nearby Harrington Street – this Irish-American themed bar is a larger than life venue. With 18 live HD screens, the Mathew Street venue is the perfect live sports viewing venue.
From football, to boxing, rugby and horse-racing to name but a few, guests can also choose from the extensive bar at Scruffy Murphy’s to bring on the good times. In keeping with Mathew Street tradition. The venue also hosts live music seven nights a week, with open mics and karaoke so that guests can show off their own musical talents. To add to the list there are also several pool tables on site.
More news will be released on this later in January via there Scruffy Murphy’s Instagram page HERE.
