This collaboration will play a pivotal role in showcasing the region’s investment potential at major industry events, including MIPIM 2025 in Cannes and UKREiiF 2025 in Leeds, where Liverpool City Region’s transformative projects and opportunities will be presented to a global audience of investors and developers.

“We are delighted to become the first private sector partner in this transformative programme. Liverpool BID has long championed the vital role of public-private collaboration in driving economic growth and this partnership represents a significant step forward in that mission.

“Our position at the heart of Liverpool’s business community, representing hundreds of businesses, gives us unique insights into the incredible investment opportunities our region offers. By working in unison with the Combined Authority, we can showcase these opportunities on the world stage.

“This partnership demonstrates how public and private sectors can work together effectively to drive investment and innovation, ultimately benefiting our entire community. Together, we can amplify the Liverpool City Region’s voice and ensure our investment proposition reaches key decision-makers globally.”

Katherine Fairclough, Chief Executive of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, said:

“When organisations choose to work with us and invest in our region, they become part of an ecosystem that includes some of the world’s most influential institutions. Our clusters of economic opportunity, combined with world-leading innovation assets and strong leadership, put us in a golden position to grow.

“Liverpool BID joining as our first private sector partner exemplifies the collaborative approach that makes our region special. Together, we’re creating an environment where businesses can thrive and investment can flourish, particularly across our key growth sectors including Health and Life Sciences, Maritime, Advanced Manufacturing, and Creative and Digital.”

The Liverpool City Region Real Estate & Capital Investment Programme will play a crucial role in promoting the region’s diverse investment opportunities, from cutting-edge life sciences facilities and digital infrastructure to sustainable housing and world-class waterfront developments. With the region’s commitment to achieving net-zero by 2035, there is particular emphasis on green infrastructure projects and sustainable development.

The collaboration comes at a time of significant transformation in the Liverpool City Region, with major developments including the Life Sciences Innovation Zone, which is set to attract ÂŁ800 million in public and private investment and generate 8,000 new jobs. The region’s transport infrastructure is also undergoing revolutionary upgrades, with new rail stations, a ÂŁ500m fleet of trains, enhanced ferry services and an integrated bus network opening new development corridors and connecting businesses and communities across the region.
