Liverpool City Region Christmas – what’s on in Wirral?

The Wirral is set to sparkle this Christmas with plenty of festive events, markets and switch-ons for you to enjoy.
West Kirby, Saturday 19th November, 4.30pm-6.30pm
Head to the West Kirby Concourse Plaza where there will be entertainment, rides and stalls before the lights get switched on at 6.30pm.
Hoylake, Saturday 26th November, 4pm-6pm
The Hoylake and Meols Christmas lights get their switch on at 6pm at the Row in Hoylake.
Moreton, Saturday 19th November, 10am-5pm
Enjoy a Santa’s grotto, at £2 per child at Christ Church Parish Centre, a Christmas market in Oakenhalt Road with BBQ and bar, brass band, raffle, candle lit concerts and big lights switch on at 5pm.
Neston, Saturday 26th November, 3pm-7pm
Neston town hosts its Christmas launch with Father Christmas in his grotto, Christmas games, entertainment, food and drink, and a lantern parade that sets off at 6.30pm to Neston Cross to switch on the town’s lights.
Parkgate and Neston Christmas Market, Moorside Lane, Saturday 3rd December, 10am
The authentic artisan market will feature high quality makers of crafts from across the north-west. There will be refreshments available in the Crafters’ Café.
Frankby, Saturday 17th December, 12noon-4pm
The Christmas Fayre at Royden Hall is £1 for adults and kids go free. There will be lots of stalls, the SingMe choir will perform, and Santa will be in his grotto to meet the children.
Brimstage Hall, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December, Brimstage Hall Courtyard
For two days, the courtyard will be transformed into a Christmas market with more than 25 local traders selling Christmas gifts, live music and festive food. There will also be story time with Santa and donkey rides. Santa’s grotto is £6. Book here.
Upton, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December 10am-4pm
Activity for All on the Wirral is hosting a Christmas market with craft and gift stalls, festive food and drink, inflatable fun, face painting and soft play.
Oxton, Sunday 27th November, 4.30pm
The Oxton village lights get their switch on with more details to be released soon. Keep an eye on the Oxton Society website for more details but the switch on is due around 4.30pm.
Wirral Christmas Markets, Thornton Hough Village Hall, Sunday 27th November and Sunday 18th December, both 11am-3pm
With more than 25 fabulous stalls with gifts to get you in the mood for Christmas.
Wallasey, Sunday 27th November, 4pm
Head to the corner of Baywater Road and Harrison Drive to join Wallasey Village in Bloom for mulled wine, mince pies and refreshments for the children before the big light switch on.
Ellesmere Port Big Christmas Party, 12-5pm, Sunday 4th December
The festival at the Civic Hall includes mascots, the Grinch, Santa, arts and crafts, dinosaurs live on stage and the chance to have your photograph taken. There will also be stalls and face painting.

Chester Christmas Market, Friday 18th November – Wednesday 21st December
If you fancy a trip over to Chester, jump off the train and head to the Town Hall near the cathedral for more than 70 stalls selling gifts, arts, crafts, food and drinks. Open until 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday.
