Liverpool Cocktail Week to return in 2025 following successful first year
Liverpool Cocktail Week

Liverpool’s bars and restaurants are raising a glass to the success of the city’s first-ever Cocktail Week, which attracted more than 4,200 attendees and gave a six-figure boost to the local economy.

Liverpool Cocktail Week, which took place from Friday, October 4 – Sunday, October 13, 2024, saw 48 venues participate in what has become the city’s largest-ever cocktail showcase.

Organisers have confirmed the city’s biggest-ever cocktail event will be coming back to the city for the second year between the 10 – 19 October 2025.

The event truly shook up and celebrated Liverpool’s best hospitality businesses, with all venues offering stunning signature cocktails for £5 with the event showcasing the city’s incredible restaurants, shops and vibrant nightlife.

Some of the most popular cocktails for customers included the ‘Townhouse Spritz’ by Castle St Townhouse, ‘Clover Club No.3’ by Gusto Italian, ‘Social Hand Grenade’ by Tailors, ‘Dockside Colada’ by One O’clock Gun and ‘That’s All Folks’ by Hawksmoor’.

But it wasn’t just £5 cocktails on offer with venues including Revolution, Manahatta, Chamber 36, Lady of Mann and Tonight Josephine also offering additional discounts and restaurants including Liverpool’s popular Bistro Franc, Tempest of Tithebarn, Nova Scotia, and Almost Famous offering a range of unique menus and food deals for wristband holders to enjoy too!

Multiple venues reported record breaking cocktail sales for the duration of the 10 days of the event, in particular one reporting a sales uplift of 50%. Participating businesses have hailed the event a huge success with the likes of Antony Hardbattle, the General Manager of El Gato Negro Tapas, said the event “definitely increased the amount of guests we welcomed into our bar and even tables being booked in the restaurant. The exposure for us as a business was invaluable.”

Chamber 36 Liverpool’s Operations Manager, Sasha Brownlow said:

“Cocktail week was a great way to showcase Liverpool’s vibrant cocktail scene that has been kindling in the city for the past 10 – 15 years. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!”

The event saw the likes of established brands and some of Liverpool’s great independent bars come together for a sensational cocktail showcase. Newly opened bars saw it as an opportunity to showcase what they do best, with Be At One’s General Manager Owen Almack saying the event “Was a great opportunity as a newly opened venue, to gain footfall from people who hadn’t yet had chance to visit us! Not to mention, we just love making cocktails”.

The Royal Albert Dock was one of the event partners for the event, helping drive more footfall around the dock and giving an autumnal boost to its local businesses. The wristband collection point venue was The One O’clock Gun based in Albert Dock, and Harry Jones, Marketing Manager, said the event “definitely saw an increase in sales and the exposure was invaluable.”

Alice Christison, the event Founder of Liverpool Cocktail Week and Company Director at M.ad Agency, added:

“Year one of Liverpool Cocktail Week was a huge success for everyone! Our participating venues reported hugely increased footfall and had great exposure. Further, a real mix of locals, visitors and tourists all loved visiting venues and trying delicious, discounted cocktails.

“We are over the moon with the response, and I cannot wait for the event to return and grow in October 2025. Liverpool really is the perfect place for Cocktail Week, with its brilliant array of stunning bars and restaurants. The team are looking forward to shaking up a storm in year 2!”
