Liverpool Empire’s Summer Creative Project get set for West Side Story

We met the team behind the Liverpool Empire’s latest Summer Creative Project. There are just days to go until they open West Side Story with over 70 young people from Merseyside.
The cast are working with a professional creative team and will star in a vibrant production of one of the most beloved musicals of all time, West Side Story.
With ground-breaking choreography by the legendary Jerome Robbins, book by Arthur Laurents, an unforgettable score by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, West Side Story changed the face of musical theatre for ever.
The famous score includes such classics as Tonight, America, Maria, I Feel Pretty and Somewhere. Don’t miss the raw power and emotion of West Side Story, brought to you by the best of local talent.
Originally produced on Broadway by Robert E. Griffith and Harold Prince by arrangement with Roger L. Stevens.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Limited on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York.
