Liverpool FC to auction match worn squad shirts to raise funds for charity foundation
1 day ago
Liverpool FC is giving supporters the chance to own a piece of club history, by bidding to win shirts worn by their favourite men’s first team players.
From 9am GMT on Friday 15 November fans will be able to bid on match worn shirts to be in with a chance of buying a Liverpool FC home, away or third shirt that’s featured in games across the Premier League and UEFA Champions League so far this season.
The first auction will include the chance to purchase the third kit jersey Luis Diaz was wearing when he scored two goals in an emphatic 3-0 away victory against Manchester United in September.
Authentic player shirts from the Manchester United game will also include Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate and Alexis MacAllister to name a few.
The first 12 auctions will run from 15 November until 16 December and will be live for between 2-5 days. This will include the opportunity to own the home LFC shirt Mo Salah wore when he scored his 164th Premier League goal against Brighton, moving him up to eighth in the top flight’s leading scorer list, leapfrogging Robbie Fowler in the process.
Also on offer will be the home top club captain, Virgil Van Dijk, was wearing when he made his 100th Anfield appearance against Brentford in August.
Each winning bid will have their jerseys shipped in a Liverpool FC branded box which will contain a certificate of authenticity.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Liverpool FC Foundation, creating life-changing opportunities for young people and families at home & away.
To celebrate the launch of the Liverpool FC Official Auction Store they’re giving away the shirt Andy Robertson wore in this season’s Nottingham Forest fixture. To be in with a chance of winning it just log in or register for MyLFC and enter the draw here.
