Liverpool Giants: Where to eat in Liverpool & Wirral during the Giant Weekend


A Giant Spectacle requires a huge appetite and these Merseyside eateries are ready to serve up a feast.

With thousands expected to descend on Liverpool and Wirral to line the Liverpool Giants route, we’ve picked out some of the best eateries to grab a bite to eat along the way. Some are perfect for families, some offer up food on the go and some provide a front row seat of the Giants as they pass right by the window!

Here’s our top Liverpool & Wirral eateries to check out during the Giant Weekend….


1 – Marino Lounge, Marine Point

Marino Lounge at Marine Point serves up everything from brunch to tapas, puddings and vegan/veggie delights and with floor to ceiling windows, you’re sure to spot a Giant roaming past while you dine! Menus here. 

2 – Remember When, Victoria Parade

Remember When it the quintessential British seaside tea shop and alongside gorgeous, homemade cakes, sandwiches and afternoon tea, you’re offered a trip down memory lane as the cafe walls are adorned with photos of New Brighton’s past. Room for a Giant? More here. 

3 – Caffe Cream, Marine Point

You can’t go to the seaside and not get an ice-cream, it’s the law! Head to Caffe Cream for fully loaded waffles, stacked with chocolate treats and plenty of freshly made ice-cream. Chips are lush from here too. Info here. 

4 – The Pilot Boat, Magazine Brow

Ranked 2nd in New Brighton’s top 31 restaurants and eateries, The Pilot Boat does a great value, tasty roast dinner and just look at that sharing board! Enough to feed a giant! Check out the menus for the giant weekend here. 

5 – Driftwood Cafe, Victoria Parade

If you’re heading to New Brighton to get an early glimpse of our giant visitor, head to Driftwood Cafe and fuel your sightseeing with a piping hot, freshly made full English. The homemade cakes are divine too! More info here. 

6 – Bella Italia, Marine Point

Family dining is at the heart of Bella Italia, Marine Point. Kids eat for £1 (until 26th October) click here for your code, and you can tuck into filling, familiy faves like spag bol, garlic breads and more. Book here. 

7 – Cabovino, Victoria Road

Cabovino has just added some tasty new additions to its Autumn menu. Pop in and get warmed through with tapas, freshly baked cakes and coffee. In fact, treat yourself to a glass of wine while you’re there! It’s not every day a giant parades through town! More info and menus here. 


1 – Lock & Key, Duke St

Grab the window tables at Lock & Key, Dale Street and tuck into tasty brunch dishes and a G&T while the Little Boy Giant passes right by the window! Menus and more here. 

2 – Grand Central Food Bazaar, Renshaw St

If you cant decide what you want, but you do want to dine on the giants route this weekend, head to Grand Central Food Bazaar. There’s more than 10 different food vendors on offer and one seriously stunning venue to chill in while you wait for Giant to come by! Find out more here. 

3 – Heritage, Castle St

Castle St will be the backdrop for some incredible scenes on Saturday as Xolo, little boy giant and the giant man will walk right past the windows of Heritage, so book a table, order 3 small plates for £15 and get fantastic view. Menus here. 

4 – Dockside Dining Club, Mann Island

There’s tonnes of giant action happening along The Strand and Dockside Dining Club is the perfect place to stop in a refuel before the Giants head back along this waterfront road. Halloumi fries, burgers, pulled pork, buttermilk chicken, fish n chips are all on offer under one roof. Find out more here. 

5 – Gusto, Royal Albert Dock

Sticking with the waterfront theme, book a table at Gusto, Royal Albert Dock to dine on hearty italian dishes. The kids can make their own pizzas and we highly recommend the roast rump of lamb! Menus and booking here. 

6 -Ma Boyle’s Alehouse & Eatery, Tower Gardens

If its British classics you’re after, wander up to Ma Boyle’s Alehouse & Eatery on Sunday and order the lush fish and chips, or book a table and take on the Sunday Roast Fondue (complete with gravy lava!). Menus and more here. 

7 – American Pizza Slice, Bold St

If a bite to eat on the go is more your thing, American Pizza Slice will warm your insides as you take to the steps of the bombed out church on Friday to await the little boy giant. Slices and opening hours here. 

8 – Hilton Liverpool

Right in the centre of all of the Liverpool Giants action this weekend is one of the swankiest hotels in the city. Hilton Liverpool will be giving you GIANT discounts on its now weekly tribute night and will also unveil a Giant Cocktail Tree from which you can get 10 cocktails for just £70.
