Liverpool Grand Central plays host to show-stopping George Michael tribute

Wham stars incredible music legacy lives on with a huge celebration of his work this winter in Liverpool.

December 2019 will mark the 3rd anniversary since George Michael died, but his musical legacy is still very much alive. Everyone has a favourite Wham solo or duet by George. Having sold over 115 million records worldwide in a career spanning more than 30 years, the award-winning singer, performer and philanthropist lives on in every one of his beautifully penned tracks.

This December you can pay tribute to George with an evening dedicated to his phenomenal music. The George Michael Legacy returns with a brand-new, feel good show that will have you dancing in the aisles for the biggest party night of the year. Performing all the hits from Freedom! ‘90 to Club Tropicana, Outside to Careless Whisper, the beautiful I Knew You Were Waiting and the show stopping Somebody To Love all brought to life by our fantastic cast and sensational live band.

Taking place in the stunning Grand Central Hall, Renshaw St, performer Randall Butler will be busting those famous moves and belting out all your favourite tracks. Randall said: ” I’m delighted to be performing at the unique and beautifully opulent Liverpool’s Grand Central Hall with the Faith band as part of our 2019 ‘Faith – The George Michael Legacy’ tour.

“It’s an honour for me to perform and sing live the songs of my personal idol, beautiful humanitarian and national treasure, Mr George Michael.

He’s been my earliest inspiration and the reason I started to sing professionally at 15 years old. We are trying to keep his music and memory alive and, as it approaches the Christmas period, we think and remember George the most as it’s sadly when we lost him. But we can still celebrate his life, his career and his phenomenal music together.”

A unique way to spend your works Christmas night out, an early Christmas gift for the George fan in your life or simply to sing and dance along to every single iconic track with your mates. Tickets are just £27.50 from See Tickets and are on sale now.

Grand Central Hall is one of the city’s finest hidden gems. A former Victorian theatre, the huge space is available to hire for private celebrations or events and can seat up to 1200 people. Since it’s massive renovation, Grand Central Hall has played host to weddings, concerts, live sport on the big screen, conferences and more.

Grand Central Hall launched its Sunday’s at The Grand cabaret events this Spring. Already hugely popular, guests are invited to a brilliant, family friendly cabaret show for all to enjoy, hosted by Leanne Campbell.

Previous shows have been themed on The Greatest Showman, Tina Turner tributes and more.
