Liverpool Loves – What’s on for the Kids?

From one parent to another, cancel your plans this Saturday and take the kids down to the Pier Head for a fun afternoon of brilliant activities……..it’s totally FREE!

The weather forecast looks fab, you can take a picnic and there’s toilets and baby changing (and a bar) Here’s a look at what’s on at Liverpool Loves 2016 to keep your little ones entertained!

The Fun Food Chef – Why not let the kids make lunch this Saturday as Pat Oakes’ kid’s cookery sessions come to Liverpool Loves. Sessions are running throughout the day (11:00 – 16:00) and children can learn about world cultures through cooking. Look out for the Fun Food Tent.

Free Fall Circus – With the summer holidays in full swing, running away to the circus can feel like a real option when trying to keep the kids entertained for 6 weeks! Why not let them burn off some energy with the Free Fall Circus on the aerial trapeze and learn silks, hoop and rope skills as well as diablo and juggling! Find them at the Wellbeing Area.

Heart Beat Drumming – Do your little ones like to bust some moves? Why not throw some shapes with a huge drum circle? A totally free-form drumming event (which is entirely improvised) gives them a chance to make some music and have a giggle with their friends. The Big Love Tent is where you’ll find their rhythm.

The Readers Org – For something a little more laid back, head on over to the Storybarn as they will be welcoming kids of all ages throughout the day and encouraging them to sit down with a book, or listen in to a story or two in the Wellbeing Area.

Greenbank Sports Academy – is your little one footy mad? Would they like to try out wheelchair basketball or justa  good old fashioned game of hide and seek? Greenbank Sports Academy will be on hand to help tire them out with loads of fun activities.

The Dragon Trail – Join Chester Artist, Russell Kirk as his parade of larger than life puppets tour the festival site. Loads of dragon selfie opportunities!

Liverpool School of Cantonese Kung Fu – There’s going to be loads of high-energy Karate demonstrations, kid’s workshops and a spectacular Lion dance across the festival site on Saturday, it could even inspire the next Olympic hopeful!

Our Top Pick: Yoga Bears session with Liverpool Yoga Centre on The Terrace between 12:30-13:00. Leave the Ipads at home, stick something comfy on and join in this chilled out, fun yoga session.
