Twelve expert mixologists have been tasked with creating new summer cocktails using spirits from the following ranges: award winning Whitley Neill Gin and Vodka; the artisan Liverpool Gin collection and premium Dead Man’s Fingers rum. The bar connoisseurs must also incorporate Lamb & Watt premium mixers, which are made with Lake District spring water.
The winning mixologists will have their cocktails featured on the new Alma Di Cuba summer cocktail menu and the overall winner will also win a night’s stay for two in Liverpool’s Aloft hotel, complete with dinner.
It’s the best of both worlds with award-winning Whitley Neill Gin and Vodka. It has an English distilling heritage dating back to 1762, yet takes inspiration from far-flung locations. Whitley Neill Handcrafted Dry Gin is inspired by South Africa, with botanicals of baobab and cape gooseberry. Whitley Neill Quince offers a taste of Persia with real quince juice. The Blood Orange gin and vodka evokes scents of Sicily and closer to home, Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger is inspired by British gardens, while new Whitley Neill Raspberry Gin delivers tartness from Scottish raspberries.
As the name suggests, this super premium, award-winning organic liquid is proudly distilled in Liverpool, Merseyside. Handcrafted in a copper still, the original artisanal gin combines a unique range of distinctive botanicals, resulting in an intense juniper and complex well-balanced gin with a bright citrus finish. Additional gins in the range include the refreshing Liverpool Valencian Orange Gin and the delicate and recently re-launched Liverpool Rose Petal Gin.
Dead Man’s Fingers is a premium small batch Caribbean rum with Cornish soul. Created at the Rum & Crab Shack in St Ives, Dead Man’s Fingers is a versatile, punchy spiced rum which can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.
The Lamb & Watt range of British mixers can be enjoyed on their own, chilled with ice, or mixed in the perfect gin and tonic or in cocktails. The range is naturally flavoured and low-calorie with no artificial colours, sweeteners or preservatives, made with spring water from the Lake District and sweetened with organic blue agave. The range include Lamb & Watt Original and Light, flavoured tonics including Basil, Cucumber and Hibiscus, as well as a Ginger Ale.
