Liverpool ONE to host British Fashion Council’s city wide celebration this September
2 hours ago

The British Fashion Council’s bringing its city wide celebration to Liverpool for a three-day fashion takeover from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 September – and it’s set to put home-grown talent firmly in the spotlight.
As part of the British Fashion Council’s nationwide programme taking place in London, Manchester and Newcastle, Liverpool will welcome a packed line-up of unique experiences, in-store activations and creative collaborations across Liverpool ONE. The aim is to showcase the very best of UK fashion and highlight the cultural influence of cities beyond the capital.
One of the biggest highlights of the weekend will be ‘At Home With’, a special panel talk presented by 1664 Blanc at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Liverpool ONE on Saturday 6 September, 3pm–5pm. The event will bring together three of Liverpool’s most celebrated designers – Patrick McDowell, S.S. Daley and Talia Byre – for an intimate discussion on how the city’s distinctive spirit continues to inspire creative talent.

Each designer brings a unique perspective to the conversation. Patrick McDowell is known internationally for sustainable luxury fashion, forward-thinking design and bold London Fashion Week shows. S.S. Daley, winner of the prestigious LVMH Prize in 2022, is celebrated for reimagining British heritage with a sustainable approach, while Talia Byre’s work draws from family traditions and community heritage to create timeless, meaningful garments.
The conversation is just one part of a weekend-long celebration that will see stores and venues across Liverpool ONE hosting fashion-themed events and activities. The British Fashion Council’s City Wide Celebration is designed to connect culture, retail and the public in an inspiring way, giving everyone the chance to experience the energy of UK fashion first-hand.

Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director at Liverpool ONE, said: “Liverpool has always been a city that leads in creativity and style. Hosting the British Fashion Council’s City Wide Celebration is a fantastic opportunity to champion our incredible home-grown designers and show the world the influence Liverpool has on the fashion landscape.”
Tickets for ‘At Home With’ are free and can be booked in advance, while all other events and activations throughout Liverpool ONE will be open to the public at no cost. The full line-up of activities will be revealed later this summer.
