Liverpool Cathedral is set to host the magnificent Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for Pop Goes Classical this April, performing hits from Oasis, David Bowie, Queen & more.
Pop Goes Classical shows that a great melody transcends time and genre. Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience where the world’s best loved songs are reimagined by the iconic Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, orchestrated by Morgan & Pochin, producers of the hit Classic FM albums Pop Goes Classical and Songs Without Words, as well as Cilla Black’s posthumous symphonic album with the RLPO, along with collaborations with Rebecca Ferguson and with Lana Del Ray for the iconic song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ for the Liverpool FC documentary ‘The End of the Storm.’

Set in the beauty and splendour of Liverpool Cathedral but with the intimacy of candlelight, this world-famous orchestra will take you from the heartfelt ballads of Ed Sheeran and John Legend to the anthemic sounds of Coldplay, U2, and Oasis, transforming well-loved songs such as Hallelujah and Fix You into sweeping symphonic masterpieces – as heard on Classic FM.
Whether you’re a lifelong pop fan, a classical music enthusiast, or somewhere in between, this celebration of uplifting and emotional music is not to be missed.
