Liverpool Prosecco Festival is on its way back with a New Year’s Eve weekend special
7 years ago
Yes you heard us right, Liverpool’s biggest celebration of all things prosecco and New Years Eve were used in the same sentence.
The all-day event on Friday December 29 will be a sparkling way to start the NYE celebrations, and the ultimate post-Christmas pick-up for prosecco lovers.
Split into two sessions, in the afternoon and evening, the festival will feature exclusive producers from across Northern Italy hosting tastings and masterclasses so everyone can have a chance to try out and find their new favourite.
Hosted by The Merchant in partnership with Camp & Furnace, it will also include fantastic food from Nightcrawler Pizza and Liverpool small plates specialists Maray, who have created a menu to perfectly match up with the different prosecco on offer.
There will be DJs right through to the best possible finale when The Merchant, on Slater Street, will be holding a very special after-party from 11pm-3am with a very special guest DJ.
The special New Year’s Eve edition of the Liverpool Prosecco Festival comes after the huge success of the first event which was held over August Bank Holiday weekend.
Organisers hope it will give people a chance to discover more about the nation’s best-loved fizz in a fun way.
“Prosecco is almost certainly going to be the drink that’s bought most over the Christmas party season, it’s become so popular over the past year, so it was an obvious choice to put on our second festival between Christmas and New Year.
“We had such a fantastic reaction to our summer event, everyone loved the prosecco and food experience, so we decided to create something similar but with more of a winter NYE theme.”
The day will be split into four-hour afternoon and evening sessions and there will be five free glasses of prosecco with every ticket purchased, giving everyone plenty of time to sample, and enjoy.
The NYE Liverpool Prosecco Festival is an 18+ event, and tickets are priced £24.75 each. The afternoon session at Camp & Furnace, runs from 1pm-5pm (doors open 1pm), and the evening session is 7pm-11pm (doors open 7pm).
