Liverpool resident recognised as one of the top ten care assistants in the UK
12 months ago
Ten outstanding individuals have been distinguished from a competitive pool of over 5,000 care assistants from across the UK – each selected for their steadfast commitment to improving the lives of others.
Caremark, a leading home care provider, has unveiled the remarkable finalists for its highly anticipated national award, ‘The Incredibles’ – and Liverpool resident Amal Salem is in the top ten.
Amal’s story of unparalleled dedication and compassion sets her apart. Taking on extra tasks without question, Amal is determined to improve the lives of people in her community.
Standing out with nominations for her ‘heart of gold’, Amal’s generosity and kindness are clearly evidenced by her willingness to help with trips to the shops and by running errands for the people she supports in her community. Amal continues to go the extra mile by spending time styling hair, or painting her customers’ nails, simply to brighten up someone’s day.
This consistent devotion to her customers as well as being cherished by her colleagues, has rightfully earned her a place amongst the ten ‘Incredibles’ finalists.
Care manager Sarah Crease, and care co-ordinator Nicole Kennedy, nominated Amal and praised her efforts by saying:
“Our customers consistently express their heartfelt appreciation for Amal. Her impact on the lives of our customers and their families is immeasurable, and this only scratches the surface of the gratitude and admiration she has earned.
“Her motivation to ensure that people are receiving the best possible care is inspiring. With an eye for detail, Amal is always quick to spot and solve problems and her infectious enthusiasm always gains the support of the team around her.
“Amal is a shining example of what it means to provide exceptional care, and we are honoured to nominate her for this award.”
One of Amal’s Caremark customers endorses Amal’s nomination:
“Thank you for all the care, patience, and kindness you showed to our mum. You were great, even when mum was towards the end and proving challenging – you were never phased and you are a credit to yourself.”
Another says:
“Amal, Thank you for all of your care and kindness.”
David Glover, CEO of Caremark, expressed his gratitude for the ten ‘Incredibles’ finalists, stating:
“A huge congratulations to our ten ‘Incredibles’ finalists. Caremark prides itself on delivering the very best care to its customers, and I’m incredibly lucky to work with such devoted, considerate people who really support their communities.
“Each finalist has done something exceptionally worthy of being recognised, and we are privileged to be honouring their achievements. This event is our way of appreciating the dedication and compassion displayed by the people who make a real difference in the lives of our customers.
“We hope this inaugural award ceremony will provide our finalists with an unforgettable experience and encourage more positive stories to be shared so that we can continue to celebrate the triumphs of our care assistants each year.”
To celebrate the significant contributions of these care assistants, Caremark is hosting a luxurious event at the prestigious Fortnum & Mason in London on 17 November 2023. All ten finalists will enjoy this exclusive experience at one of London’s most iconic venues. The event promises an afternoon starting with drinks and networking, followed by a lavish afternoon tea and recognition for each finalist’s achievements.
The event at Fortnum & Mason will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner, The Incredible of the Year, – adding an element of suspense and excitement to the occasion.
