Liverpool’s restaurant scene is blessed with some of the best restaurants in the country!

With so many restaurants in Liverpool to choose from, it’s easy to miss a few, so we’ve put together a list to get you excited for eating out this year!

The Legacy Thai

A hidden gem for Thai food lovers on Aigburth Road, The Legacy Thai is all about bold flavours and traditional recipes.

Castros

This Tenerife-inspired café is a haven for sandwich lovers. Castros serves up colossal creations packed with Canarian flavors.

Doux Chaton

This family run Vietnamese restaurant on Renshaw Street is PHO-nomenal! 

The food in here is out of this world, busting with flavour, massive portions, and very reasonably priced!

Be brave and dip your spring rolls into their dad’s homemade chilli oil… he has to wear protective gear when making it, it’s that spicy!

Mahoe Blue

This little restaurant opposite the entrance to Sefton Park has brought all the flavours and passion for sharing good food direct from Jamaica to south Liverpool. 

Owned by husband and wife chefs, it’s getting five-star reviews for dishes created from family recipes like ackee and saltfish, rice and peas, spicy okra fries, jerk chicken and a rum punch that packs a punch.

The Watering Can

The stunning venue nestled in the idyllic surroundings of Greenbank Park  has become a destination venue for a traditional roast with all the trimmings with customers booking weeks in advance to secure a table. They also serve up a fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.

Freshly made pasta just hits differently, and Buyer’s Club are not playing around when it comes to good fresh made pasta! 

It’s a cosy place to go in the Winter and in the Summer their yard is a proper little sun trap. The food and drinks are always on form. 

Not only are these guys known for their incredible pasta but their pizza’s are also sensational… make sure you try the King Prawn Spaghetti with Chilli and Garlic.

Dostana

We love a curry! So a trip to Dostana in Woolton Village is always well worth it.

Some of the locals still refer to it as The Raj, but whatever you call it, this family restaurant celebrated its 50th anniversary this year!

Owner Vince opened Cucina in 2016 continuing a family legacy which began when his grandfather Francesco Margiotta immigrated to Edinburgh in 1904 and opened a café – Vince’s daughter Gabriella Margiotta is one of its chefs (and an Instagram favourite).
