The 2016/17 season has now finished for Liverpool, so we wanted to find out how it went.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the table, so will be playing in the Champions League next year. But there are still a few “what ifs” after a League Cup semi-final exit and being beaten in the FA Cup by Wolves.
Matt got the low down from The Anfield Wrap’s John Gibbons – who told us why getting in the top four was so important.

- This is only the second time in nine years that Liverpool have finished in the top four
- Their total of 76 points would have been enough to finish second in the Premier League last year
- Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane were the Reds’ joint top scorers in the league this year, each netting 13 goals
