Students from Liverpool Theatre School wowed thousands of visitors and industry professionals on Saturday, 8 March, as they took to the main stage at Move It, the world’s largest dance event.
Held at Excel London, Move It – headlined by Diversity – brought together top performers, choreographers, and aspiring dancers, including those from Liverpool Theatre School, for a weekend of electrifying performances, competitions, and masterclasses.
The students performed an impressive contemporary routine, choreographed by award-winning tutor Dane Bates, in front of a packed audience.
The event also featured dazzling performances by industry greats, including Randall Watson, who has danced alongside Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Little Mix, and Monique Jonas, fresh from playing the lead in Matthew Bourne’s UK and international tour of Romeo & Juliet.

Liverpool Theatre School Principal, Maxine Ellis, said:
“Move It is one of the most important events on the calendar for the dance and performing arts industry, and we’re thrilled to have been part of it.
“This has been a fantastic opportunity for our talented dance students who took to the main stage to perform in front of thousands of visitors. They did themselves, and our city, proud as they put on an incredible show.”
Now in its 20th year, Move It continues to be a key platform for aspiring performers.
Alongside jaw-dropping showcases, the event included auditions, competitions, industry talks, and masterclasses led by some of the biggest names in the business, including West End star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Layton Williams.
