Liverpool’s free Summer festivals return for 2025 with exciting new addition

Liverpool’s summer festival season is set to return with a series of free events celebrating some of the city’s most iconic streets.

A brand-new festival, Hope Street Blend, will debut in September, bringing together cultural partners along the historic Hope Street for a three-day celebration of music and arts.

Organised and supported by Liverpool BID Company, these festivals will once again showcase the best of Liverpool’s food, drink, culture, and hospitality.

Festival Dates for 2025

• Celebrating Castle Street – Sunday 3 August
• Celebrating Bold Street – Sunday 17 August
• The Last Day of Summer – Saturday 30 August (Liverpool waterfront)
• NEW: Hope Street Blend – Friday 26 – Sunday 28 September

Hope Street Blend will coincide with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Open Day on 28 September and will see venues along the street host pop-up performances, transforming unexpected spaces into cultural hubs.

Mark Da Vanzo, Chief Executive of Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres, incoming chair of Hope Street CIC, and board member for Liverpool BID’s Retail & Leisure, said:

“We are delighted to be introducing Hope Street Blend, an opportunity to enjoy one of Liverpool’s finest streets. With a Cathedral at either end, the vibrant hum of daily life, with music and art filling every doorway and space, it is one of my favourite places to be in the city.

“Celebrating our best assets is something I’m very proud to do, and I can’t wait to be able to welcome as many people as possible into our Hope Street venues.”
