Liverpool’s Imagine That! gets over 1 million views by featuring on popular YouTube channel
2 years ago
Liverpool kids’ science and discovery centre Imagine That! welcomed YouTubers Ruby and Bonnie.
The popular attraction, located on Wavertree Technology Park, proved to be such a fantastic place to visit it featured in not one, but two YouTube videos.
Sisters Ruby and Bonnie shared the fun footage with their 7.96m subscribers on the video-sharing site.
And now, to celebrate British Science Week 2023, which runs until March 19, Imagine That! will be putting on extra workshops and space themed activities every weekend in March. So, families can enjoy all the same fun they’ve seen on YouTube.
In one video, Ruby and Bonnie paint a real car, jump on the spin art bike to make a pedal-powered painting and capture a moment in the life-size pin art.
Meanwhile, their “granny” has fun with the giant digital graffiti screen before they head off to the Bright Sparks science zone.
There they carry out tasks like scientists and help granny conduct amazing bubble experiments.
But it’s the Slime Factory that leaves them in hysterics when Bonnie gets stuck in to – and stuck to – the huge vats of gooey slime.
Another of the videos show Bonnie, older sister Ruby and granny, playing dress-up in the Imagine That! Imagination Village.
Manager Abby Wallace says: “It was amazing to have Ruby and Bonnie film not one, but two of their educational and funny family videos at Imagine That!
“Their team contacted us about doing some filming for their YouTube channel, saying the venue looked fab and they thought it would make more amazing content.
“So, we opened our doors early for them, so they still had plenty of time to see Liverpool.
“We arranged to do some science experiments and they loved it so much, they ended up making two videos.”
The YouTubers enjoyed their visit to Imagine That! so much, they extended their time there.
Abby says: “They said they needed two hours max but actually spent four hours filming here and then came back in for one of our three-hour sessions.
“Some of our customers who were in at the time recognised them and were excited to see them, even though they were filming in a different section.”
Families visiting Imagine That! enjoy a three-hour slot, which includes activities, shows and attractions across four zones.
Aimed at children under 10, the centre features an Imagination Village with construction area, Artbeatz art area, Bright Sparks science zone and a Slime Factory.
Tickets must be booked in advance. Prices are £15.95 per child, £12.95 for children under three, and £7.95 per adult. Babies under one go free with a paying sibling.
