Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre Studio announces brand new comedy ‘Cosmic’
2 years ago
Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre Studio is excited to bring you Cosmic!
Cosmic is a brand new comedy written by Joe McNally, about what happens when you look a bit too hard at everyday life for a bit too long.
The Royal Court Studio is the perfect place for comedy and small-scale theatre. You will find the same high quality shows and great service that you have come to expect from the Court, only smaller.
The show stars Clare Hackett, Connor Henry, Andy McLeod, Mark Rice-Oxley and Kalli Tant and is directed by Deborah Yhip.
What’s it about?
Vinnie knows things. Things that the average man on the street doesn’t even think about. He knows about truth and freedom and how they are being suppressed. He knows about the dangers of 5G. He knows that tuna is a terrible topping for a pizza.
Kirsty, Vinnie’s teenaged daughter, knows things too. She knows that her dad gets called a Cosmic Scouser. She knows that he used to be alright, until his dad died. She knows that she wants him to get back to normal and her birthday would be a good time to start.
Writer Joe Mcnally said:
“It’s really exciting to have my first play staged at the Royal Court theatre and I’m looking forward to working with a great cast and director. Cosmic touches on some contemporary themes, but at its core deals with things in life we all have to face up to. I’m hoping audiences will enjoy the ride and not leave too paranoid about who killed JFK.”
Join Vinnie and the Truth And Freedom Seekers as they slowly work out what is holding the world together. You might be surprised… they were.
Cosmic runs from Wed 22 March – Sat 8 April.
