Liverpool’s Wild Thang creates t-shirt range to support NHS Heroes

Wild Thang is a print company based in Liverpool and the team say they wanted to make a difference, that’s why for each t-shirt purchased they have committed to donate 50% of the purchase price to NHS charities.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang Managing Director commented “We wanted to make a difference so the initial idea for the NHS themed t-shirts came about after we created screen-printed social distancing t-shirts as our last job before lockdown for our amazing team before some started working remotely at home. The feedback from our friends and family was awesome and they loved the design, but still we wanted to do more.

The company has recently delivered a large consignment of clothing – 28 large bags of t-shirts, hoodies and tracksuit bottoms to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, this was after hearing they were in desperate need of clothing for frontline staff working tirelessly for their patients, this was an attempt to reduce infection when they to travel to and from work in their own clothes before changing into their uniforms/scrubs once inside the building. Wild Thang also donated branded tote bags to the staff at Liverpool Women’s Hospital to carry their necessities to work.

Currently taking pride of place at Wild Than HQ is a banner with our support message to all the key workers during this difficult time.

Andrew goes on to say “Our creative team designed a range of limited edition t-shirts with a simple concept, if someone purchases a t-shirt to show their appreciation to those NHS heroes. Wild Thang will either donate 50% of the purchase price to NHS charities or send a t-shirt to the NHS frontline staff, because we know first-hand they urgently need extra clothing.

We then shared our idea on social media and the feedback was amazing, lots of people thought it was an awesome idea and loved the designs. So the next step was to shortlist the most popular designs and create a web-shop so they are available to be purchased.”
