Christmas comes early to North West Air Ambulance as businesses donate hampers to crews
2 hours ago
Food and drink businesses across the region have come together to spread some much-needed festive cheer by donating hampers to the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
The hampers will be delivered to the dedicated North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA) crews working tirelessly over Christmas and New Year.
The generous donations come from Booths, Lancashire Tea, Lancashire Crisps, Dewlay Cheese, Swizzles and Lancashire Eccles Cakes.
The charity’s crew will continue operations over the festive period, providing lifesaving care day and night.
John Gill, Head of Marketing and Trading at Booths said:
“At Booths we’re extremely proud to support North West Air Ambulance, these gifts are a little way of saying thank you for the incredible work they do.”
This year the lifesaving charity needs to raise £18m to continue providing enhanced pre-hospital care to those who need it most across the North West.
Kelly Stepaniuk, Senior Lancashire Fundraiser at NWAA, said:
“We’re so grateful to the businesses who donated food to our lifesaving crew for this festive period.
“We’ve received a lot of support throughout the year from members of the public as well as businesses. As we receive no government funding and aren’t part of the NHS, we are totally reliant on the public’s support.”
