The legendary Bez from Happy Mondays is to perform a DJ set at New Brighton’s Marine Street Social – a highlight on the venue’s jam-packed autumn/winter programme including live music, superstar DJs, a special NHS birthday bash and a fireworks spectacular throughout November and December.
Bez is heading to Wirral’s newest and most exciting venue for the special one-off event on December 14 – and what’s more it’s free to attend! Simply head over to Skiddle to claim your free ticket to guarantee entry.
NHS staff are invited to a free party celebrating 70 years of the NHS on November 2, including live music and a complimentary drink on arrival. Other highlights include the River of Light fireworks display on November 4 from 4.30pm-8.30pm, with the venue’s outdoor terrace providing the perfect vantage point. Tickets are priced at £10.50 for adults, £5.50 for under 16s and £25.50 for a family ticket, including a non-alcoholic drink on arrival.
Celebrating Merseyside and the Wirral’s proud musical heritage, Marine Street Social will also play host to two popular tribute acts, as well as one burgeoning local band in the lead up to Christmas. Ultimate Coldplay, the UK’s leading Coldplay tribute act, will play the Marine Street Social stage on November 9 from 8pm-11pm. Tickets are free and again available from Skiddle.
Liverpool’s own Northern Jukebox will make their debut at the venue on November 16, with an indie setlist containing a host of covers from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, James and Blur. And to cap off the autumn/winter programme, AKA Noel Gallagher returns to New Brighton on December 22 from 9pm, playing tracks from the Oasis and High Flying Birds’ catalogue of Britpop anthems.
Carl Thomas, director, Marine Street Social, said:
“It’s our first autumn/winter season here at Marine Street Social, and we’ve got a packed programme of live music, free events, fireworks and not to mention our resident food outlets offering the best in independent food and drink on the Wirral. We also show the best live sporting action, including Liverpool and Everton games, on our two large projector screens!”
