Loyle Carner announced for huge outdoor Liverpool gig

In the Park Liverpool has announced that Loyle Carner will join global superstar Lewis Capaldi as support for its highly anticipated return to Liverpool this summer.

The much-loved event will take over Sefton Park on Saturday 15th August, with Capaldi set to deliver his biggest-ever outdoor headline show in the city. 

Loyle Carner will be bringing his signature blend of diaristic lyricism and genre-defying sound to Liverpool. Twice shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and the recipient of multiple BRIT and NME Award nominations, Carner has built a global following with over 1.1 billion streams to his name.

From sold-out headline shows at London’s Alexandra Palace and Wembley Arena to acclaimed festival appearances worldwide, he has established himself as one of the UK’s most vital and compelling voices and the perfect fit for what is set to be a summer highlight in the city. 

Set to deliver an unforgettable day of live music in front of thousands, Capaldi’s headline performance  – alongside a special support set from Loyle Carner – marks a major moment for In the Park 2026, further cementing its reputation as one of the UK’s premier live music events and bringing two of Britain’s most celebrated artists to the heart of Liverpool for a landmark summer celebration.
