Made in Liverpool: Manchester Fashion Week
8 years ago

OK so we know we are talking the wrong side of the 62 here but Manchester Fashion Week is actually made in Liverpool, spreading the Scouse love to our beloved Mancunian mates…
Manchester Fashion Week takes please 23-25 May at The Castlefield Rooms under the direction of Amanda Moss, who has run Liverpool Fashion Week for 8 years.
Ensuring that the north west of the UK is firmly on the minds of the fashion industry there are two days of shows featuring couture wear and independent boutiques. Designers taking part are flying in from Turkey and Nigeria, placing Manchester Fashion Week firmly on the international fashion map.
The opening night takes place on Monday 23rd May featuring Women’s and Men’s haute couture. Emerging Talent takes place on 24 May. Tickets for both these nights are £10.
There is a free exhibition day from 1-5pm on Wednesday 25 May where you can meet the designers and other exhibitors in the fashion and beauty industry, before a business networking event from 5-8pm with speakers from within the industry
Amanda Moss said, “There is no need to go to London to see great fashion.north west really is best. Last year designers who showcased went onto design fro Alexander McQueen, Asos and have appeared in New York and Paris Fashion Week. It really is a gigantic springboard for the careers of the designers. when you come to our shows you are looking at the designers of the future high street.”
Manchester Fashion Week encourages people to attend of all all ages as Amanda believe fashion appeals to everyone, whatever size and age you are and there is something for everyone each night at the shows. “Fashion shows should be as commercially accessibly as going to the cinema,”.
