Treat your mum this Mother's Day at the Municipal Hotel

Making memories is The Municipal Hotel Liverpool’s speciality – and they don’t come more special than those you can treat your mum too this Mother’s Day.

The iconic Dale Street venue has pulled out all the stops to make sure you can show your mum, or mum figure, just how much she means to you on Sunday, March 30.

And better still, that magical day is promised in one of the city’s most stunning and luxurious locations.

If mum likes to indulge in an afternoon tea, then The Municipal is ready to serve the best, with a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea that’s guaranteed to make her feel like royalty.

The setting is the hotel’s beautiful Botanic Tearoom where she’ll be treated to fabulous live entertainment and a classic menu that’s beyond exceptional.

There’s a mouthwatering welcome platter which includes Wye Valley Asparagus and Wild Spinach Velouté with a Parmesan Tuille, along with a Korean Sesame Chicken Lillipop, and a Scouse Croquette with Beetroot Puree; while the sandwich selection will wow with the likes of Wiltshire flaked ham with piccalilli and watercress, and North Atlantic prawn with caviar!

A hot dish comes courtesy of a Pork and Fruit Pig Pudding Hot Sausage Roll, and sweet servings include a Pistachio and Rose Macaron and a Lime & Liverpool Gin Curd Choux … and, of course, a warm scone with local clotted cream and fruit preserve.

The Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea is just £65 per person or – and you know she’s worth it – for £75 you can add a glass of Champagne on arrival. And if that’s not enough of a treat for your marvellous mum, The Municipal will present her will a lovely gift too!

There’s a fabulous two course or three course carefully-crafted menu at £60 and £65, which will be served amid live music to create a relaxed atmosphere for all the family.

To begin with you’ll be served an amuse bouche and a selection of nibbles including warm focaccia with a honey and truffle butter melt and Mediterranean Mixed Olives in Rosemary and Lemon, before you indulge in your starter from a choice including Soup of the Day and ‘Titanic’ Cure Locally Smoked Salmon.

Among the mains are Roast Cumbrian Sirloin of Beef, Pan Seared Fillet of Sea Bass and a delicious Vegan Roast of the Week, and desserts to die for include Baked Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Crème Brulée.
