Mamasan’s got your weekend planned – and here’s five reasons why
4 months ago
There are only two Mamasans in the whole of the UK and when CEO Brad Stevens was wondering where to create a sister bar and brasserie to the first one founded in Glasgow, there was only one place he reckoned it could be:
Liverpool!
Since it opened, Pan-Asian inspired Mamasan in College Lane, Liverpool ONE, has become a go-to place for people who want to have a fun dining experience, and who believe good food and entertainment are the number one must-haves.
Brad Stevens, CEO Mamasan, said:
“Having spent a lot of time in Liverpool, I realised there were a lot of similarities between Glaswegians and Liverpudlians, loads…
“The two cities are very very similar in culture, very similar in the people, and we thought people in Glasgow would love Liverpool, they’d love to come there because they’d think it was a great night out.”
He added:
“And so we thought that if the people of Glasgow like us, then the people of Liverpool will like us too.”
With a new summer menu and a programme of fab events to guarantee the best night out, Mamasan has got your weekend planned. And here’s why:
Mama’s Mixtape
Get ready to party because your weekend starts here. Friday nights at the Pan-Asian hotspot is the night for Mama’s Mixtape which’ll take you on a journey through the ‘90s and noughties with all your favourite pop classics and RnB tunes: “It’s all the ones you’ll know the words to so you can dance and sing along,” smiles Brad.
But it’s not just tunes being belted out by Mamasan’s DJs, there’ll be a live singer too. And, because this is an experience, served with the entertainment is some amazing food and drink and, for just £49.50 per person, you can have three small plates – you can choose from dishes like Thai Fried Chicken, Crispy Chilli Squid, Hoisin Duck Doughnuts, Salt & Pepper Chicken and more – and bottomless drinks for 90-minutes.
The Dim Sum Disco
Every Saturday The Dim Sum Disco Bottomless Brunch combines delicious South-East Asian dishes, drinks, and the best disco sounds from noon until 6pm. For only £45 per person, you can again choose from three small plates, alongside 90-minutes of bottomless drinks which include Mamasan’s signature cocktails, Prosecco, wine, beers, and non-alcoholic mocktails. DJs will play all your favourites and there’ll be live sax and dancers to make sure your Saturday afternoon goes with a swing.
TRIBE
You couldn’t get enough of the Dim Sum Disco Bottomless Brunch, you wanted it to carry on into the evening, so Brad and his team created another Saturday experience to put the wow into your weekend. Mamasan’s theatrical dining concept TRIBE starts at 7pm and comes complete with cocktails, tribal dancers, bongo drummers, and DJs playing house and music with a more exotic beat.
As always the great Mamasan value means you can chose from three small plates and 90-minutes of bottomless drinks. Brad says: “We’ve got sparkler machines, and it’s really great, great fun. It’s dinner and a show all rolled into one.”
Mamasan’s urban-garden rooftop terrace
Even when your 90-minutes are up, the party doesn’t have to end. You can head up to The Rooftop, now open every day in partnership with elite vodka brand CIROC.
It’s THE perfect spot for all those celebrations and to continue the Mamasan fun. Best still, it comes with panoramic views across the city, a floral staircase that’ll sort out all those selfies, and a unique sound system inspired by Japanese listening bars.
Cool cocktails
As well as great food and entertainment, Mamasan’s mastered the drinks. As well as all your favourite spirits, wines, and beers, it’s got an amazing selection of cocktails (and mocktails) which include a Mama Gin Martini with gin, shiso, pistachio, vermouth and tomato water; and a Bubbly Pornstar, which is expertly mixed with vanilla vodka, Cocchi Americano, passionfruit, lemon, and Prosecco air.
