McCooley’s unveil new rooftop terrace at Mathew Street site
4 years ago
Liverpool now has a new rooftop terrace bar, based at the heart of Mathew Street.
McCooleys on Mathew Street / Stanley Street in the Cavern Quarter has been a popular place for food and drink for lovers of sport and live music since opening in November 2017.
Now just in time for summer they have extended the site to include a new rooftop terrace.
The venue, which has a sister site located on the other side of town in Concert Square, is a popular destination with the cityโs Irish community and students alike.
Now from midday every weekend, while the sun is shining at least, you can enjoy a Guinness on the rooftop.
The rooftop terrace features Irish-themed wall art, a large number of benches and even parasols for if the rain is out or you need some shade from the sun.
The rooftop has a capacity over around 150 and General Manager of McCooleys Shannon Gaynor said:
โWe will be opening the rooftop of a weekend and for bank holidays for now.
McCooley’s offers a wide range of different drinks and food dishes at both its Mathew Street and Concert Square locations.
Open daily, you can catch all of the live sport while you visit and it frequently has live musicians performing too.
