Meet the Liverpool best friends whose luxury hair extension brand, Hair Choice now turns over £1m

Leading Luxury Hair Extension brand, Hair Choice, turns over one million pounds in revenue in 2018 which is set to double by the end of 2019 (and The Kardashian’s Hair Stylist is a big fan!)     

Liverpool based luxury Hair Extension brand, Hair Choice, has been trading for four years and in 2018 generated one million pounds in revenue which is set to double by the end of 2019. 

Coveted by A-list celebrities such as Rita Ora, Demi Lovato, Amanda Holden and a whole host of top reality stars including Erica Jayne from The Housewives of Beverley Hills and Sam & Billie Faiers, Hair Choice specialises in glamour and quality, producing soft, tangle-free and full thickness from top to bottom.

Hair Choice originally started as a hobby for best friends Josh Kelly (aged 30)  and Jennifer Lacey (aged 30)  in 2015 after working as hairdressers together for 14 years. The pair co-own hair salon and celebrity hot-spot, Zest in Liverpool, and had struggled to find affordable hair extensions for clients which didn’t compromise on quality. They quickly saw a large gap in the market and an increase in customer demand so they embarked on a mission to source it themselves.  Combined with their years of experience and knowledge of the industry, plus months of trial and testing, the dynamic duo created their first ever range of luxury hair extensions which retailed at an affordable price. Their debut range sold out in a matter of days and soon after, Hair Choice was born.

In 2018, Hair Choice turned over a staggering one million pounds which is forecasted to double by the end of the year with the launch of its new Tape Hair Extensions in September. Jenny said of Hair Choice’s success: “Josh and I are really passionate about offering customers a premium product which is not only affordable but something that our clients can trust. We are overwhelmed with the success of Hair Choice in such a short amount of time but more importantly, we are so grateful to our incredible team that have helped propel the business to where it is today.” 

Hair Choice offers the finest rage of weft Extensions, Pony Pieces and Back Stage Clip-Ins and launched its Tape Extensions last week with a VIP party at the Shankly Hotel, Liverpool. Tape Extensions are the latest new hair extension trend to hit the market due to its quick and simple application leaving zero damage to the natural hair. Hair Choice Extension Tapes are small 2-inch wide pre-taped wefts which mimic the natural growth of the hair from the root, meaning they are discrete and virtually invisible. 

The Kylie Jenner inspired event that took place on Sunday 1^st of September included a star-studded guest-list and live demos from A-lister Hair Stylists Clyde Haygood and Aaron Carlo. Haygood famously styles global superstars including the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Shakira and Naya Rivera, and Carlo has become the UK’s most sought after hair stylist with clientele including Little Mix, Maya Jama and Rita Ora to name a few.

Hair Choice have now set their sights on international expansion for 2020 with a key focus on the US market; all with the ambition of cementing its place as leaders in the Hair Extension world.

Hair Choice’s exclusive launch event took place on Sunday September at the Shankly Hotel, Liverpool from 4pm-8pm.
