Liverpool is teaming with comedy, arena gigs, Christmas eats and new bars to check out this week as party season gets into full swing. We’re wandering around markets, settling down for movie nights and devouring hangover curing brekkies too. Here’s MerseyGuide, what’s on in Liverpool for the week ahead.
Monday 4th December
It’s all about movies and munchies on Monday as we opt for crazy comfort food and the best Christmas films to enjoy with our mates.
Monday Movie Club at The Jacaranda
The Jacaranda is lining up ultimate Monday movie nights through December. With comfy beanbags and free popcorn, an audience of just 30 can enjoy this new weekly film night, showcasing some of the most iconic movies including Die Hard and Elf. The Lawd Baby Cheeses, its Monday pizza madness at Crazy Pedro’s
It’s officially Christmas at Liverpool’s newest Parr Street pizza parlour (easy for us to say) as Crazy Pedro’s introduces it’s whackiest creation to date. The Mary, Joseph and Baby Cheese’s pizza is a festive taste sensation with delicious helpings of all your Christmas favourites. Bite into turkey, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing, honey roasted parsnips and cranberry sauce, it will literally have you rocking around the Christmas tree. Menus and more here.
Tuesday 5th December
We’ll be rocking out, clinking glasses and flexing our cult film knowledge on Tuesday with an unmissable arena gig, expert wine tasting and quiz night.
Christmas Wine Tasting at Lock & Key
How does an evening tasting fizz, red and white wines that are a must have on your table this Christmas, sound? Join the team at Lock & Key, Duke Street and James Mitchell of Inverarity Morton, who will talk you through the different products while enjoying prosecco cocktails, nibbles and dessert. Lord of the Rings Cult Quiz at The Merchant
If you’re a Lord of the Rings nut you could be crowned King or Queen on Tuesday night as The Merchant hosts another epic cult quiz night. Kasabian at Echo Arena
Armed with a back catalogue brimming with classic singles and with a history of headlining the world’s biggest stages and festivals, Kasabian come to the Echo Arena on Tuesday with a kick ass show that promises to be the live highlight of the year. Tickets here.
Wednesday 6th December
What’s on in Liverpool this Wednesday you ask? Steps, Vengaboys, bar dancing, shot swigging, KEVIN calling and Kanye loving action, that’s what.
Steps return to the Echo Arena
After a phenomenal performance a couple of weeks ago, Steps return to the Echo Arena for their second tour date and with support from the Vengaboys. We were lucky enough to catch the first show and our feet are still aching from all the dance moves! Belter show, get your tickets here.
The Drinks are on Mr McCallister at The Home Alone Themed Christmas Bar
Be the one of the first to experience a drink in a bar like no other as you step into the set of cult Christmas film, Home Alone at the Baltic Triangle. Kanye Christmas Party at The Buyers Club

Rain or shine, there’s tonnes of fun to be had on the Pier Head at the Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival. From thrill rides to ice skating, frankfurters to mulled wine and crepes, the festival is open daily with something for everyone.
