Merseyside-based Owen Drew Candles holds ‘Easter Extravaganza’ sale to celebrate relaunch
3 years ago
Last year, local fragrance house Owen Drew secured £50,000 funding on BBC Dragons’ Den and as part of the process, will be relaunching and rebranding later this year.
As a result of there relaunch- the firm which has gained a strong reputation for its luxurious scented products – will be hosting a sales extravaganza event in which customers will have the chance to bag some serious bargains.
Whilst founder of the business Drew Cockton is keeping tight-lipped about the new designs and packaging, he is, along with his business partner and operations director, Michael Skeggs, opening up his Wirral factory to the general public for this one off sales event.
“All of our current designs and packaging will become redundant”, Drew explains, “So we need to make space for the incoming stock. We have never had this type of clearance sale, it’s something we have sought to avoid as a luxury brand, so this really is a one-off”.
Drew started the company at his kitchen table in his Wallasey home in 2016 and has since then built the company from the ground up with his business partner Michael Skeggs. The pair have won several awards for their handcrafted products and gained a host of celebrity fans including Paris Hilton and even Kate Middleton.
At the Easter Eggstravaganza, customers will be able to indulge in bargains such as ‘buy one, get one free’ on selected candles as well as other special offers, all of which come gift wrapped in their soon to be discontinued signature pink bags. Customers will also be given a chance to tour the factory, the place where the magic happens and Drew’s creations come to life.
The event takes place at Wirral Point, 132 Claughton Road, Birkenhead from 4pm – 8pm on 14.04.22
