Morning Gloryville to kick off Liverpool Loves with a punk party
7 years ago

Morning Gloryville Liverpool has taken inspiration from this year’s celebration of 40 years of Punk for Liverpool’s Episode 11. On Saturday 6th August, the early morning sober rave will return to the iconic Pier Head to to kick off the ‘Liverpool Loves’ festival programme.
Surprisingly for some, Punk ethics are well aligned to the values of the Morning Gloryville global consciousness movement, reflecting the right to express oneself, playfulness, vegetarianism/veganism, peace, love, equality, freedom, anti-war, free-thought and non-conformity!
Team Gloryville are delighted to present special DJ guests Jed Clark – Les Calvert, Carry on Misbehavin’, Garlands will go back to back on the decks. Whilst Marc Jones, curator of the Punk.Liverpool “From Erics to Evol” exhibition will take you through the ages with a punk-rave mash-up alongside Medication DJs and Bear Growls.
Liverpool Yoga Studios will be providing free yoga sessions at the event for all to join in.
Gavin Kendrick from Sound of Dusk will be bringing the best wholesome breakfast delights you could wish for, along with juices and good vibes!
Organisers of the original conscious clubbing early morning rave have announced that it is time for a break. Anna Maloney, Glory Agent says,
“When I discovered Morning Gloryville shortly after its launch in August 2013 in East London, I was inspired to bring it home to our wonderful City. I knew Scousers would get it and it’s been an absolutely brilliant journey! One of the strengths of Morning Gloryville is bringing people together, making connections with one another, supporting friends old and new with mental health. And most importantly, letting go, dancing, smiling, laughing and being playful!
We’ve loved watching the community blossom and friendships made. The feedback has been heartwarming and so touching. But in the name of self-care and wellbeing, we have decided to take a break. Wishing you all peace and love and eternal youth!”
She continues,
“Morning Gloryville will continue in nearby cities Manchester, Dublin and London, so you can still get your fix of early morning sober raving – next up in the northwest will be 24 August.”
So ‘Rave Your Way Into the Weekend!’ for a final trip down memory lane and join this unique punk-themed, conscious clubbing event with Liverpool’s finest DJs and most fun, awe-inspiring crowd!
This Morning Gloryville is for you to BE your true self and let out your PUNK spirit!
