Mowgli Trust Dog Show: Everything you need to know
2 years ago
It’s The Mowgli Trust Dog Show this weekend – and here’s everything you need to know
The Mowgli Trust Dog Show’s back this weekend, aiming to raise more money for Claire House Children’s Hospice and provide loads of family fun on Merseyside.
It’s the fourth show organised by the Trust and Mowgli CEO and founder Nisha Katona, and so far they’ve managed to collect a fantastic £160,000 for Claire House, with £72,000 collected last year alone.
Nisha says: “Many people ask why I launched a dog show, and the answer is clear.
“It brings the friendliest, warmest people together, all for the love of the dogs that edify our busy lives with their greetings, their smiles, and their unswerving loyalty.”
She adds: “They give the Great British lifestyle a wag of muddy, humble contentment. A day spent at the altar of the humble things in life is a no bad thing – and who can complain when it’s all in aid for the wonderful Claire House.”
Andrew Pimbley, director of Claremont Farm and event partner, says: “We have changed the dates so it’s come round a lot earlier this year – three months earlier – and everyone is so excited, especially after the success of last year.
“The weather is going to be fantastic and that’s just going to make it this weekend – and we would like to say that if anyone is worried there is plenty of shade and there will be plenty of water for dogs!”
More than 8,000 people are expected to attend the event which adds to the £1.2 million-plus The Mowgli Trust has raised for local charities.
So if you want to be one of them, here’s everything you need to know:

What makes The Mowgli Trust Dog Show so special?
Back over to Andrew for this one: “It doesn’t take itself too seriously and that’s why, I think, people love the show. People love to show off their dogs and this gives them the ideal opportunity to do just that – and to collect funds for a great charity.”
