New adidas x size? collaboration pays homage to Liverpool’s iconic sound and style

adidas Originals and size? are back with a bold new tribute to Liverpool’s vibrant cultural legacy — and this one’s for the true collectors.

Following the huge success of their 2020 collaboration, the brands reunite to reimagine the Liverpool silhouette for size?’s 25th anniversary.

Part of the exclusive ‘Anniversary City Series’, the latest drop celebrates the energy and influence of 1960s Liverpool — a decade that saw the city conquer the global music scene. Inspired by legendary clubs and the spirit of Merseybeat, the reworked design pairs rich orange suede with punchy green adidas branding, echoing the playful vibrancy of the era.

Originally launched in the ’70s, adidas’ ‘City Series’ has become a cult favourite, with each shoe honouring a different European city. In 2010, size? and adidas Originals expanded the series with a new spin, spotlighting cities including London, Dublin, Manchester and Glasgow. The 2020 ‘Twin Cities’ collection took this further — linking Liverpool with Dublin in a transatlantic celebration of urban identity.

Now, Liverpool takes centre stage once again. Key design nods include classic crinkle-cut tongues, gold ‘Liverpool’ lettering on the sidewalls, anniversary footbeds and a gum sole finish. A final touch: ‘1/2025’ stamped into the heels — a subtle marker of the limited-edition status.

The adidas Originals Liverpool ‘Anniversary City Series’ will launch exclusively in-store at size? Liverpool on Saturday 24th May 2025 at 8am. Early birds will get an extra treat: a limited-edition booklet and Liverpool-themed scarf with each purchase.
