From new restaurants and hidden beer gardens to nightclubs and old-favourites, you’re spoilt for choice on Seel Street and Albert’s aim to offer something a little bit different. The bar has opted for sports on TV earlier in the day, which is unusual for bars in the Seel Street area. With two 3-metre projectors installed and a further eleven large screen televisions scattered around the bar; sports fans can kick back with a drink and enjoy the game!
Night owls need not be disappointed, however. Once the sport has finished, Albert’s will be dimming down the lights and playing the coolest tunes around. Fridays and Saturdays will have DJ’s from 8pm onward with a more relaxed attitude midweek where you can chill out in one of their candlelit booths. Split over two floors, the upper mezzanine area is great for an extra bit of privacy and feels like a real hideaway in the heart of the city.
Ruth Carmicheal, the Operations Manager said “ The site has a real interesting back story. Some people will remember the site as it was, a garage, for many many years. The site was owned by Albert Carmichael and he ran the garage on this very spot for 35 years. When we purchased the site Albert was excited to see how it would all look, but sadly he passed away before construction was completed. So we thought it only right to name the venue after him, in his honour.
There are newly constructed apartments on the upper floors with Albert’s occupying ground floor and basement. The building and bar design came from SNOOK architects who are based in Liverpool with many bars to their name, including the recently opened Einstein in Concert Square.
Located at 84-86 Seel Street, Liverpool, L1 4BH, Albert’s is open 4pm – 4am on weekdays and from midday – 4am on Friday & Saturday. The mezzanine is also available for hire and you can email the team on email@example.com for further information. Alternatively, follow them on Facebook to stay up to date.
